Access Energy: Your partner for solar energy!

Access Energy is an project of Energie Verte Benny Farm, a non-profit community owned energy services company that produces, provides, and promotes renewable energy and green buildings.

Access Energy helps homeowners form buyers groups to purchase and install solar energy hot water systems, saving you money and ensuring high-quality equipment and installations. With generous subsidies currently available for home-owners who adopt solar energy, now is the right time to transform your dream into reality!

Grants are ending soon

Both provincial and federal grant programs are ending in October 2010 and March 2011 respectively. As such, if you are interested in installing one of these systems, we recommend that you do it this summer.

Interested? Here are the next steps...

1. Consult our Information document

If you would like some basic information about solar hot water systems, please consult this document and contact us if you have any additional questions.

2. Site visit

Sign up for a site evaluation and Access Energy will visit your home to assess whether your property is suitable for a solar energy installation and answer any additional questions

To sign up for a site evaluation, please send an email to:info [at] accesenergie [dot] ca with the following information:

Your first and last name
Your address
Your telephone number and best time of day to contact you

An Access Energy representative will contact you shortly after to organize the visit. The registration and consulting fee for the visit is 60$.

3. Buyers Group

Access Energy will form a Buyers Group with those interested. We will send a Request for Proposals to various solar energy companies with the specific details of each property.

4. Review Proposals

Together, we will review the proposals and choose one that best suits your needs and is eligible for government grants.

5. City Permits

We will inform you if you need city permits and how to apply for them.

6. Contract and Installation

Then comes the signature of the contract with the solar provider, then the installation.

7. Grants

You are then eligible to apply for the government grants and we can assist you with the necessary paperwork.

8. And enjoy!

You are then on your way to enjoying clean, renewable solar energy for your home! Remember, this assistance from Access Energy is free, except for the site visit fee.
