Project Z.O.O.: Green energy & green building services

Project Z.O.O. - whose name is an acronym of “Zone of Opportunity” - is a 46-apartment cooperative for young families. EVBF’s investment in solar and geothermal energy systems at Z.O.O. are giving three generations of residents first hand experience with the benefits of renewable energy.
Z.O.O.’s building is made up of a mixture or renovated units from the initial Benny Farm veteran’s housing, and a new in-fill structure. By recuperating the original bricks, wooden floors and structure, Z.O.O. retains the heritage of the original development, and reduces the waste and consumption related to new housing.
Project Z.O.O. is Novoclimat certified, and has achieved among the highest environmental ratings from Natural Resources Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP) evaluations.
